A delegation of the SGPC met the Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Department of India

A delegation of the Shiromani Gurdwara parbandhak Committee met Mr. Apoorva Chandra, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India

to discuss about its satellite channel by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, member of Shiromani Committee in this delegation met yesterday. Surjit Singh Bhittewad, Mr. Kulwant Singh Manan and Deputy Secretary S. Shahbaz Singh was involved.

Earlier also, a delegation led by Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami had met Information and Broadcasting Minister Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur.

Giving information in this regard, Shiromani Committee member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta said that the efforts of the Shiromani Committee to start its own satellite channel are continuing and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is being approached from time to time in this regard.

He said that the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has listened carefully to the position put forward by the Shiromani Committee and has agreed to discuss it again soon. Bhai Mehta said that being a religious organization, the satellite channel is facing some technical problems and government regulations, but the Shiromani Committee is working continuously on its behalf..

He said that the Shiromani Committee is in talks with the concerned department of the Government of India, so that the process in this regard can be completed soon. –PunjabNewsexpress
