Voltas Limited, a leading player in the Indian HVAC market has set up a new manufacturing facility at Waghodia, Gujarat with an investment of Rs 65 crores the company said in a statement.
The Tata Group company claims that the new manufacturing unit which houses R&D and testing facilities, will help them meet the growth aspirations of the Indian HVAC market and also address the current capacity constraints at its existing plants.
The new facility is situated within Siddhi Industrial Infrastructure Park, Gujarat and is spread across approx. 32.05 acres, the company said. Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, packaged air conditioners (PAC), ductable split units (DSU), chiller packages (CHP), and air handling units (AHU) are the products manufactured at the Waghodia unit. The air-conditioner manufacturer plans to procure its input requirements from suppliers located within a radius of 75 KM.
