Since 2018, festive season sales have been lackluster and 2020 is not expected to be any different. We had pinned hopes on Onam, but the footfall turned out to be highly disappointing and Diwali sales may see further decline. Consumers in our region are holding back any discretionary purchases until the economy shows some signs of recovery. We are currently witnessing a decline of 30 percent YoY in the overall business. However, sale of televisions and washing machines segments seem to be getting on the upward trajectory as these two have become necessities in a household more than ever and our plan is to capitalize on this by luring customers through lucrative schemes. We are focusing on volume over value as liquidating the existing stock is one of the major challenges.
