Lossnay Ventilation Systems for fresh indoor air quality

Ever since we can remember, we have always been told about the importance of fresh air and encouraged to go outside every once in a while. Unfortunately, these days it has also become almost impossible to breathe clean air outside due to the rise in pollution and the many diseases associated with it. We tend to spend most of our days locked in our homes, not realising that the indoor air can also be harmful, which can be attributed to the air quality inside the building. It is believed that excess humidity causes dampness, rot and mould, whilst pollutants are a major cause of damaging health issues such as asthma and eczema. Stale air is also believed to lead to a loss in productivity and low morale.

Air pollution in India is a serious health issue with the rise of PM 2.5 and other air pollutants in various cities of the country making ventilation a necessity to combat poor indoor air quality, which can be a breeding ground to many airborne microorganisms, primarily responsible for many types of allergies and, of course, cold and flu, and causes structural damages as well. Thus, the objective of providing proper ventilation alongside air conditioning in residential and commercial buildings is critical, so that people can live and work in a comfortable environment.

Mitsubishi Electric has always been a company that offers advanced environmental systems that can create sustainable and healthy environment for all, therefore, to safeguard people from extreme temperature and pollution, and to enhance air quality, the company provides Lossnay Ventilation System. Developed and refined over the past 35 years, our Lossnay have perfected mechanical ventilation with recovery of heat energy that would otherwise have been wasted. This helps to reduce overall energy cost by extracting stale air and then recovering the heating or cooling energy to either warm or cool incoming fresh air. Thereby, minimal energy loss, maximum heat recovery and substantial energy savings.

The technology behind the energy efficiency of Lossnay lies in the construction of the core which enables exchange of both latent heat (humidity/moisture) and sensible heat (temperature) to maintain a comfortable internal environment for minimal energy consumption. The core is made from ultra-thin paper and sits at the heart of the system. Constructed in a corrugated form and layered in alternate directions, the core allows a cross airflow to maximize heat recovery without the supply and exhaust air mixing, ensuring only fresh air is introduced into a building. As Lossnay extracts stale air from a building, heat energy is recovered through the paper core and transferred into the fresh incoming air.

Here is a quick summary of some of the benefits of the Lossnay Ventilation Systems and why you should consider investing in it –

  • Clean and fresh air;
  • Improved air quality and comfort;
  • Increased indoor climate control;
  • Energy efficient heat recovery;
  • Reduced energy bills;
  • Quite operations.

In these current times with the pandemic taking over spreading across the world, it has become crucial for the air to be clean and using the Lossnay Ventilation an important tool toward a healthier environment. Having cleaner air to breath will not only improve your physical health, but also boost your mental health for a better life.
