Samsung has finally released its second-generation Frame TV in Australia – available in a 55-inch (USD 2,699), 65-inch (USD 3,899) or 43-inch (USD 1,799) model.
Both large screen models are available to buy from Harvey Norman, David Jones or Samsung direct, with the 43-inch version launching November.
The ‘Frame TV’ has received notable praise from critics and consumers, with the TV hailed for its ability to transform into a framed piece of art, with just ‘one clear cable’.
The second-generation Frame TV features several new artwork options, with its clear cable transmitting both power and AV from the One Connect Box to the TV.
Hass Mahdi, Head of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia asserts the TV is a stark deviation from a traditional “big blank screen” in a living room.
The Frame TV also debuts an enhanced user interface, allowing users to browse art based on a room’s colour scheme. New ‘slideshow’ and ‘favourite’ features enable owners to curate their own slideshows.
Samsung’s frame TV will ship with a slim fit wall-mount, with three other ‘frame’ options also available to purchase – white, walnut and beige wood.
Incorporating a 4K screen and HDR10+ technology, Samsung’s Frame TV intensifies competition in the premium TV market, with an onslaught of supported content rolling out from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and others. – Channel News
