Samsung Launches 4K Tizen TVs For Hotels That Boots Up In 2 Seconds

Samsung has launched its new series of televisions for the hospitality industry in India with Samsung LYNKReach interface. The TV range is powered by a quad-core processor with a boot-up time of just two seconds, claims the company. These TVs have specific and customized use in hotels, hospitals and educational sector as well.

The new UHD line up of hospitality TVs offers customized interfaces, Soft Access Point, LAN Out along with conventional smart features like, screen mirroring technology. Also, there is an option to play content via Bluetooth connectivity from any handset – Android, Tizen, Windows, Ubuntu and iOS.

The new range of UHD TVs is powered by Samsung’s Tizen and supports High Dynamic Range (HDR10+). The TVs are available in 43-inch, 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. The screen has customizable shortcuts for accessing major functions of TV (Menu, alarm, source etc.). There is also the option for mapping the specific remote control to a specific TV to avoid misplacement of remote controls.

There is a ‘Power saving’ mode to save electricity, the backlight of the display automatically switches off when the user is listening to music/ audio. Also, USB Cloning allows users to simply copy the TV settings to all TVs using a USB stick, a process that is fully automated to save a lot of time without having to set each TV one by one.

The TV can also be converted as Access Point with capability to connect at least 4 devices and access internet. Also, the IT team will be able to control the TVs in the rooms via LAN.

The hotels, for example can make use of the ‘Home Menu’ which acts as an information menu, and allows them to save utility numbers such as that of Reception, Housekeeping, Room Service, Travel Desk, Emergency, etc. on the Hotel TV itself. This information is accessible at the touch of a button via remote.

The TVs also offer security features such as enabling the control/ locking the use of USB, HDMI, etc. so that guests cannot have unauthorized access to TV utilities. One of the key features includes the option to mute and access to bedside headphone to watch the TV and avoid disturbing the others in a room.―Gadgets Now
