“This festive season is expected to be better than last year. The pent-up demand from last year will push sales. From our counter, I expect a turnover of Rs 110 crore compared to Rs 100 crore in 2020.

Especially in LED TVs, companies are supporting us through discounts and extended warranties. More and more customers are opting for the larger-screen-sized sets. I expect a 10 to 15 percent uptick in sales of 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch TVs.

Online retailers are giving us a stiff competition. Before 2020, sales from brick-and-mortar showrooms increased annually by 25 to 30 percent. Since 2020 and 2021, this has slowed down to 15 to 20 percent, the online retailers have gained at our expense. The regulator must curb online retailers, so local dealers can survive.”
