“I am very upbeat for sales from our counter this festive season, and am confident that we shall bounce back and reach the same levels as in 2019, when we clocked a turnover of Rs 50 crore.

This year, demand for larger-screen sizes has seen significant traction. There’s been a 25 to 30-percent increase in demand for 55-inch TVs alone.

The brands we represent, unlike all the years we have done business, did not extend any schemes to spur sales this season. That is perhaps because during Onam, sales were rather disappointing. We are expecting new schemes in October, for they go a long way in pushing sales.

Online retailers have had a negligible negative impact on our sales. We sell at a fixed price, provide the best possible customer experience, and have been associated with our customers, and have sold products even to their parents and grandparents. Online retailers cannot deliver such experiences.”

Brands retailed: Samsung, Hyundai, Philips, Sansui, and LG
