Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC (METUS) has announced the appointment of the president and chief executive officer (CEO) as well as the chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO). Atsuhiro Yabu has been named president and CEO, Mark Kuntz has been promoted to COO, and Andrew Kelso has been named CFO. In his new role as president and CEO of METUS, Yabu leads the development, promotion, and execution of METUS’ business growth strategy and manages all departmental budgets. As COO, Mark Kuntz reports to Yabu and oversees all METUS business units and functional areas. Additionally, Kuntz chairs the METUS leadership team providing oversight of senior management leadership. Andrew Kelso was previously the vice president of finance at Ingersoll Rand, and assumed the role of CFO upon the formation of METUS. As CFO, Kelso provides financial guidance to the leadership team and has responsibility to plan, implement, manage, and control all finance-related activities within the company. All three members of the executive team will continue to be based in Suwanee, Georgia.
The responsibilities of Fujitsu General Australia’s managing director, Philip Perham, have been expanded following his appointment as managing director, Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand, effective immediately. Following the recent departure of Michael Somerville, Perham will take on responsibility of the New Zealand operation to oversee the businesses’ ongoing success and growth locally. Fujitsu General New Zealand also appointed Mikio Yokokawa from Fujitsu General Limited, Japan as director – internal control. Yokokawa was previously director for Australia and New Zealand for approximately 3 years. Andrew Harland has been promoted to the position of general manager, Fujitsu General New Zealand. Harland has been with the New Zealand business for 2 years in a national sales role. Koji Nakao will continue as director of Fujitsu General New Zealand with Harland running the day-to-day business with the support of Yokokawa, Nakao, and Perham.
