Most Taiwan-based LCD panel makers, with the exception of AU Optronics (AUO), have reported sequential declines in February revenues due to the impacts of coronavirus outbreak.
Innolux posted revenues of NT$14.1 billion (US$471.36 million) for February, down 14.8% on month and 22.1% on year.
Its shipments of large-size panels totaled 6.59 million units in February, decreasing 25.8% from the previous month. Shipments of small- to medium-size panels reached 13.9 million units, down 35.8% sequentially.
Revenues for the first two months of 2020 totaled NT$30.714 billion, down 21.9% on year.
HannStar Display’s February revenues came to NT$1.011 billion, down 8.4% on month but up 14.8% on year. Year-to-date revenues totaled NT$2.116 billion, up 2.9% on year.
The company shipped 34.32 million units of small- to medium-size panels in February, an increase of 101.3% from the previous month. Shipments of large-size monitor panels and own-brand products reached 33,000 units, down 86.9% on month.
