Dimapur became the third city in the Northeast, after Dibrugarh and Guwahati, to host an Intex Digital Store after the inauguration of the Intex Nan’s Digital Store at SC-31, Naga Shopping Arcade in Super market on Saturday. Intex has 125 stores across the country with 1600 service centres.

The showroom offers products with latest technology and features at an affordable price to appeal to and attract middle class consumers. The products on offer are: IT and accessories like keyboard, mouse, power bank etc; speakers; mobile and mobile phone accessories; LED television, washing machine; refrigerator; and air conditioner.

Speaking at the launch of the first Intex showroom in Nagaland, deputy manager, Intex, Kapil Pursova said that the company seeks to bridge the gap in luxury items making high-end premium products more affordable to the middle class which comprises 80 percent of the population. The affordable price coupled with the impressive features make Intex products appealing to both groups of customers who earn 20,000 a month and 50,000 rupees a month, Kapil Pursova added.

In a bid to make itself more competitive, Kapil informed those present at the launch that while other brands offer 1 year warranty, Intex offers 3 years warranty. Adding that the product has a great potential in the state, he said there are plans afloat to set up a showroom even in Kohima.

The brief inauguration programme was chaired by the proprietor, Nungtok Jamir and the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev Dr Robert Singh of Baptist Worship Centre, Rio Colony.  — Nagaland Post
