Foxconn Industrial Internet, a subsidiary of Foxconn Technology, will be establishing an Advanced Industrial Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre in Hyderabad which would facilitate technological services and smart manufacturing solutions for Foxconn Group.
“This research and development platform would provide solutions to Foxconn Group with a vision to integrate and incorporate cloud computing, mobile devices, IoT, big data, AI, network transmission, and automated robotics with 8K+5G,” the company said in an official release.
Michael Yang, Director of Business Development, Chairman’s office, Hon Hai, and Sujai Karampuri, Director of Electronics, Telangana signed the agreement to set up the centre in Hyderabad.
The Taiwanese company is also working on building an artificial intelligence (AI), high definition 8K display, and 5G technology ecosystem in the state of Wisconsin, US to make it the state’s first “silicon valley” tech hub, the company recently told Bloomberg.
The Electronics Wing of ITE&C Department of Telangana is committed to developing, sustaining and maintaining the state as a forerunner in the field of Information Technology and Electronics, the release added.―ElectronicsB2B
