With coming festive season, E-commerce sale buzz awareness among consumers is at record high, according to Redseer consulting report.
The report said that customers have high recall of the sale dates through platforms like social media and television ads while word of mouth and other offline channels comes second.
Compared to last year, 38 percent customers in 2018 becoming aware of festive sales through TV ads, report stated.
It said that 70 percent customer awareness this year has been contributed by social media platforms.
E-retailers have spent more on Newspaper/TV promotion, resulting in growth in awareness among customers from 19 percent in 2017 to 38 percent customers in 2018, report added..
As per the report, willingness to purchase during the sale is extremely high, with mobile phones and fashion being the most popular categories amongst customers.
Besides, this year customers have high expectation from e-commerce platform with regard to services they offer.
Also, report added that during festive season sale, debit card payment will remain a primary mode of payment followed by COD.
‘Wallets and new affordability options introduced by e-tailers will also increase the usage of online payment methods during this festive season,’ the report stated.
Redseer Consulting prepared this report on the basis of survey and found that maximum people will make purchases through e-commerce platforms due to better offers. – KNN India
