The German BSH group will open a new plant in Łódź, central Poland, which will produce up to 3 million dishwashers annually. The official opening is planned for September 10.
According to BSH Director Gerald Wegner, work on trial production runs in the new location are already underway, and everything is going to plan.
Bosch and Siemens dishwashers have been produced in Lodz since 2002. Previously, the dishwasher and washing machine production lines shared the same facility. The new factory, which is referred to as “the heart of BSH logistics in Poland”, covers almost 80,000 sq m, has its own railway siding and is part of the Central European Logistic Hub, the largest distribution centre in the country.
BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o. is part of an international group which offers brands such as Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Zelmer on the Polish market. With six factories in Poland, it also runs service centres in Poland working in the fields of IT, accounting, foreign trade and central purchasing. In 2018, the company turnover totalled EUR 13.4 bln.―The First News
